Dr Motwani has focused interests in:

• Ankle foot tendon/ligament repair
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Lower extremity deformity correction and lengthening
• Arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive cartilage or osteochondral repair
• Diabetic/Charcot foot reconstruction
• Cerebral palsy
• Congenital anomalies
• Limb salvage and amputations
• Illizarov fixation
• Micro-neurovascular surgery
• Great toe arthritis with deformity
• Foot ankle tumour and oncology

He has a dedicated interest in reconstructing deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, flatfeet, and high-arched feet. He is a pioneer in the use of advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound for soft-tissue and sports pathology.

Dr Motwani is currently a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), and the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA). He actively participates in many academic programs and serves on more than a dozen local and national committees as faculty or guest speaker. He has numerous publications and continues to work in research and education.
